Review Guidelines

***Currently not accepting books for review***

Per FTC regulations, I am alerting you to the fact that several of the books reviewed on this blog were received free of charge from the author or the publisher in exchange for an honest review.  I will identify the source of each book clearly on the review.  Many of the books reviewed have been bought by me.  Unless specified, it can be assumed that the book was bought and paid for by me.

Ficwishes features books from many genres: contemporary romance, young adult, paranormal, dystopian and many sub-genres.  Many of the books reviewed here may be unsuitable for young readers.

All reviews posted on this blog will link back to the book on Amazon and Goodreads.  I will also include author contact info and links where available.

All reviews posted are the opinion of the posting reviewer.  I, and my guest reviewers bring our own likes, dislikes, and prejudices to the books we read for review.  We know that not every book was written for every reader.  This is our honest opinions of what we read.  Please note that Ficwishes will only post reviews of THREE OR MORE STARS unless the book was provided by Netgalley or Edelweiss.  This blog was created to spread the word about books that we love, not to be mean and tear down a book or an author.  My hopes are that by sharing books that mean something to me, others may find new favorite books as well.

If you are an author, publisher, author marketer, or agent and want Ficwishes to review your book, post an interview, feature an author, please email me, Lori, at  Requesting these services does not guarantee that your book/author will be featured by Ficwishes.

Not every book is a good fit for every blog.  I reserve the right to decline to review any book for any reason.

All of the reviews published at Ficwishes will also be posted on Amazon, Goodreads, and Facebook and tweets will be sent out to announce the reviews.

All purchase links are provided as a courtesy to the blog followers.  I receive a small compensation for purchases made through these links, which helps to offset hosting costs for the website.  These links may not lead to the best price and you can always shop around for a better one.
