Blog Tour - UNWRITTEN by Chelsea M. Cameron

Unwritten by Chelsea M. Cameron

July 2014

BOOK SUMMARY:

Children's librarian by day. Romance novelist by night.
British single father.
Someone else is writing this love story...

Blair Walton isn't your average curvaceous tattooed children's librarian. She's also one half of bestselling romance author, Scarlet Rose. Along with her BFF Raine, she spends her nights writing books so steamy, she's afraid they would shock her Southern conservative grandmother to death . . . if she knew about them. That's why she and Raine write in secret.

On deadline for their latest book and out of ideas, Raine suggests (demands) that Blair find a guy and "do some research". Declan Bennet has all the qualifications: He's British, looks fabulous in a suit, has glorious blue eyes and gets bonus points for being an amazing single dad to his adorable son, Drake. But what starts out as a research project quickly turns into something much more. And Blair's not the only one with secrets.

Ok, ladies and ladies, I am officially a Chelsea M. Cameron fan for life. I decided that while that M in her name probably stands for Michelle or something, in my head, it’s now become ‘Mothafuckin’. So, when I see she has a new book announced, I’ll be saying to myself “Suuuweeeet, Chelsea Muthafuckin Cameron has a new book coming out!” But gee, my excitement has derailed me from actually reviewing a book again. Imagine that! Seriously though, another sultry, fantastic and fun book by C Mothafuckin’ C!

The plot of this book is absolutely perfect for the bitches that read these kind of books (yes, I’m raising my own hand here), which makes Chelsea a literal freaking genius. It’s about two besties that secretly write smut together as THE hottest romance author on the market. Blair is a librarian, which I just can’t even handle, hello, dream job! She meets a hot British guy at work through his adorable little son, who frequents her library branch. So yeah, hello! Hot, British Man! Also, Hello, work and life fantasy number one. Could this book BE more perfect?

Ok, so I’ll just be over here lying in the gutter satiated, but dead. Because this book had pretty much everything I love and I just can’t handle any more perfection, I’m sorry I’m not sorry.

Anyway, during a serious case of writer’s block, which is fascinating and funny to read about from the writers’ angle, Raine, the other side of the bestie writing combo, convinces Blair to ask Brit boy out. He luckily asks her before she gets the chance, so yay! The rest, as they say, is history and I don’t want to say a lot more about it. But the result is a hot and fun, adorable and super swoony fun read that you will be able to read through at a blistering pace! Unwritten is so on par with Chelsea’s snarky and fun norm and exactly what I expected from her, she seems to be such a riot and such a great girls’ girl.

4.5 Stars
