New York Times bestselling author Jill Shalvis returns to Heartbreaker Bay with a fun and festive holiday novella! Order your copy for just $0.99 today!
About ONE SNOWY NIGHT:
It’s Christmas Eve and Rory Andrews is desperate to get home to the family she hasn’t seen in years. Problem is, her only ride to Lake Tahoe comes in the form of the annoyingly handsome Max Stranton, and his big, goofy, lovable dog Carl.
Hours stuck in a truck with the dead sexy Max sounds like a fate worse than death (not), but Rory’s out of options. She’s had a crush on Max since high school and she knows he’s attracted to her, too. But they have history… and Max is the only one who knows why it went south.
They’ve done a good job of ignoring their chemistry so far, but a long road trip in a massive blizzard might be just what they need to face their past… and one steamy, snowy night is all it takes to bring Max and Rory together at last.

About Jill Shalvis: New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Jill Shalvis lives in a small town in the Sierras full of quirky characters. Any resemblance to the quirky characters in her books is, um, mostly coincidental. "It wasn't just his eyes. His voice was rough and sexy, and for that matter, so was the rest of him."
Jill is the queen of feel-good romance. If you've been reading the Heartbreaker Bay series, you're probably like me and have been aching to hear what is up with Rory and Max. Every encounter they've had in the previous books has been fraught with tension and anger. I'm glad to finally get their backstory.
Rory and Max are from the same hometown and as far as Rory is concerned, they don't really have much of a history beyond Rory's schoolgirl crush on Max from high school. Rory is returning home for Christmas for the first time in many years. She's made a habit of letting her family down in the past and is determined to finally follow through on a promise. Max has been enlisted to help Rory make it home in time for the festivities. Unfortunately, the weather is just as determined to keep them from making it home in one piece.
The attraction between Max and Rory has always been so real that it could almost be it's own character. While his body makes plans for Rory, Max's mind can't get past the selfish, unfeeling girl who (unknowingly) destroyed his future back in high school. He may be driving her home, but he doesn't have to like it.
This isn't a very long story or even that deep of one, but it definitely fills in the holes surrounding the tension between these two. It's also hot enough to melt the piles of snow blocking the path between San Franscisco and Tahoe.
