FALL WITH ME Synopsis:

Eleven months ago, bartender and weird-shirt-wearing extraordinaire Roxy and Officer Reece Anders had a one night stand. Well, kind of. She’s been in love with him since she was fifteen, and he wishes that night they shared never happened. She’s sworn him off forever, but the past and future collide, forcing her to rely on the one man who broke her heart not once, but twice.

Her best friend since birth has been in a long-term care facility since he became a victim of a hate crime years ago, and the person who put him in there is out of prison and wanting to make amends with him and Roxy. She’s not sure she has room for forgiveness in her and when she begins to receive frightening messages and is on the receiving end of escalating violence, she thinks she knows who is to blame. The man who already destroyed one life already.

But Reece isn’t convinced. The threats are too personal, and even if Roxy doesn’t believe him, he’s not willing to let anyone hurt her. Including himself. He’s already messed up more than once when it comes to Roxy and he’s not going to let history repeat itself.

Roxie and Reece have been dancing around each other for months. After a little ill advised interaction almost a year ago, Roxie has been trying to avoid all contact with Reece. Something that isn’t easy to do while working at the bar owned by her friend Jax. When Reece gets tired of the longing looks and tension between himself and Roxie, he confronts her to let her know he’s ready to give them a shot. Now the ball is in her court.

Roxie’s best friend is in a long term care facility. She’s been watching him waste away for years and it’s been slowly eating her alive. Her world is further rocked when she learns that the man
who responsible for her friend’s condition has been let out of prison. Things heat up further when the women in the community are stalked and crime is on the rise.

Roxie has a lot of spunk. She loves to spar with Reece. She is a really strong character that doesn’t always make the smartest decisions.

What kept it from being 5 stars? I didn’t fall in love with Reece as I was hoping to, and Roxie’s character did get on my nerves a bit with the not thinking things through to their logical conclusions. Beyond that, it was a great addition to the WAIT FOR YOU series.

4 out of 5 stars
