Synopsis:
Shannon MacLeod has always gone for the wrong type of man. After she drifted from one toxic relationship to the next, her last boyfriend gave her a wakeup call in the worst possible way. With her world shattered, she’s sworn off men—especially those of the bad-boy variety.
Cole Walker is exactly the sort that Shannon wants to avoid—gorgeous, tattooed, charming, and cocky. But his rough exterior hides a good man who’s ready to find “the one.” He’s determined to pull Shannon from her self-imposed solitude and win her heart.
As Shannon opens up in the face of Cole’s steady devotion, the passion between them ignites to blazing levels. But when Shannon’s past comes back to haunt her, her fears may destroy the trust Cole has built between them—and tear them apart for good.

I had the pleasure of listening to ECHOES OF SCOTLAND STREET on audio book. I loved hearing the words in the Scottish accent. It was great.
I've been waiting for Cole's story for a long time now. He certainly didn't disappoint.
Shannon Mcleod is running from the mistakes of her past. Her bad choices had ruined her life and the lives of those she loves. In order to avoid bringing more trouble down on her family, Shannon flees to Edinburgh where her grandmother had lived. With little money and no job, Shannon has no choice but to accept the job offer to be a receptionist at a tattoo shop.
Cole Walker is happy with the life he has made for himself. He is the manager of a famous tattoo shop. He and his sister have overcome the unpleasantness of their past. And his boss just hired a gorgeous redhead to be the receptionist at the tattoo shop.
On the outside, Cole represents everything that Shannon is trying to escape. After years of being screwed over by one bad boy after another, Shannon doesn't trust her own judgement and works hard to keep far away from Cole Walker. Cole has other plans and works overtime trying to convince Shannon to give him a chance.
I loved the way the author worked it out that even though Cole was pursuing Shannon in the beginning, Shannon eventually had to swallow her pride and convince Cole to give them a shot. It was a cool twist and I really enjoyed how it changed the dynamic of the couple.
Samantha Young and created a very exciting cast of characters in this series. In ECHOES Of SCOTLAND STREET, we see many of our favorites come back for a visit, but we also meet many new ones. I would like to go ahead and make my request here. Please let the next book in the series be about Shannon's brother, Logan.
Anyway, this series is recommended to anyone who loves emotional, sexy stories with Alpha males and strong women. I have enjoyed each and every one so far.
5 out of 5 stars
